Why should I hire a Career Coach?

We've all been there. It's Sunday evening... Monday morning is rapidly approaching and you're absolutely dreading waking up for work the next day. Your frustration with your job is impacting your happiness and your ability to enjoy life outside of work. Maybe it's even causing challenges in your relationships because your career has made your life miserable. At this point, you begin looking for a new job, any job, that gets you out of your current role. Eventually, you land a job and you feel relief that hopefully your next job will be your dream job. And then... a few months later you find it wasn't what you wanted and the vicious cycle starts again. You feel stuck, frustrated, and uncertain of how to move forward.

You're not alone. Most people, at one point (or many points) in their career, will be in a situation where they are not satisfied professionally. Unfortunately, instead of doing the necessary due diligence to identify what exactly they want in their career, most apply to as many jobs as possible that require skills they have and accept the best offer they receive, even if ultimately it isn't what they want. It's no wonder we end up in a vicious cycle dissatisfied in our careers but uncertain as to how to move forward.

That's where a Career Coach comes in ... me! I believe that within all of us is the answer to what we really want in our careers. Through coaching, we identify what skills you want to utilize, your preferences for industry, and what motivates you in an organizational culture. We dive into what you've enjoyed in previous roles, what engages and drains you, and explore what keeps you challenged in your roles. Together, we identify what your overall goal is, the challenges you've experienced in achieving your career goals, and design action steps so that you can move forward. Each coaching session is personalized based on what you need to accomplish your goals.

A Career Coach may seem like an "extra" in your budget or an investment that you're not prepared to make. However, if you were able to find a career that fulfilled you while also learning techniques to use when you're ready to find a new job, you could save time, frustration, and uncertainty when you find that you need a new position because you'll know what ultimately fuels you. Instead of spending months, maybe years, struggling without progress, I can help you design the life and career that brings you joy and fulfillment.

Life is short. There is no need to spend your time miserably hoping you'll one day win the lottery. A Career Coach can help you identify and reach your goals faster.
